About Me

My linguistic & subject-specific competences and experiences (German-English & English-German) for your international communication

Even though this sounds like a predominantly occupational venture, it was in fact borne from my joy and passion for language and communication, and is being driven further by these. My joy of discovery, and the desire to broaden my professional, linguistic and cultural background, give me time and again the incentive to stay in other countries. Alongside my studies and jobs, I enjoyed visiting various language courses in Italy and friends living in England. With a wide variety of people that I met, I exchanged views about the idiosyncracies, differences and commonalities of our respective cultures, not without plenty of laughter along the way.

After I had completed my diploma (architecture and urban planning) and had gained several years of work experience in architecture, urban planning and theatre & film in Munich, I moved to London for good in 2004. There, I studied (Master of Science in architecture and urban planning), worked (townscape consultancy) and lived for 14 years continuously. My child was also born in London in 2013. Not only do I have bilingual native speaker competence in English and German and hold dual citizenship, but also feel half German, half British. Moving between the two worlds, linguistically and culturally, is innate and fulfilling for me. Welcome and “Willkommen” at biLinguaPRO!
